Наше производство находится на территории пеновского района тверской области. Это одно из самых экологически чистых мест средней полосы России хотя люди в этих местах живут уже более 8 тысяч лет.
Географическое положение способствует тому, что климат здесь более теплый, больше выпадает осадков чем в центральных и восточных районах области.
Семьдесят процентов территории покрыто лесом. Это южнорусская тайга.- На территории района встречаются растения тундры — морошка, клюква, голубика, растительность широколиственных лесов — дуб, липа, клен, вяз, лещина, волчье лыко, растительность тайги — ель, сосна, береза, осина, ольха, рябина, брусника, черника. Такие леса называются смешанными. Наличие большой площади леса оказывает положительное влияние на экологическую обстановку в районе, на полноводность рек. Кроме этого лес дает лекарства, продукты питания и, конечно, высококачественную древесину.
Мягкий климат, густая речная сеть, обилие лесов делают край пригодным для отдыха и туризма. А большое количество различных промысловых зверей и птиц привлекают сюда охотников из разных •городов России, Германии, Франции, Швеции, Австрии. Особенно большой интерес вызывает охота на лося, медведя, волка, глухаря.
На территории района более 130 озер. Наиболее крупные из них Вселуг, Стерж, Пено, Охват, Витьбино. Верхневолжские озера ледникового происхождения. Во время последнего, Валдайского оледенения, которое закончилось примерно 10 — 12 тыс. лет назад, углубления в рельефе стали более глубокими, ледник при движении несколько, углубил эти понижения. Не случайно, что все они имеют направление с севера на юг. При отступлении, таянии ледника углубления заполнялись водой, они-то и стали озерами.
Волга – самая большая река Европы. Длина ее 3530 км. В глубокой древности ее называли Ра, Итиль. Волга берет свое начало на Валдайской возвышенности, на высоте 228 м над уровнем океана, и впадает в Каспийское море, на 28 м ниже уровня моря. 1880 год считается годом определения истока Волги. Приняты меры по охране Волги. Запрещен лов рыб на Верхневолжских озерах тралом. Усилены требования по хранению минеральных удобрений, сбросу грязных вод. Все виды транспорта – машины, автобусы и так далее должны останавливаться за два километра от истока. Все во благо сохранения истока.
Так же ко всему выше изложенному можно добавить то что на территории района полностью осутствует промышленное производство, а сельское хозяйство находится в упадке, что пагубно влияет на развитие района в целом. За то благотворно действует на экологическую обстановку и в частности на дикоросы среди которых и Иван-чай.
